How they look and where they grow

Among the vast genus of velvet grasses, there are tall and stunted species. Their representatives differ in the size of the flowers and leaves, the color of the petals, but they all have common features.

Flower stems are erect and strongly branched, adult plants form a spreading bush. The tallest velvets grow to 220 cm in height, and the shortest members of the genus - only up to 10 cm. Where to grow

Homeland of wild velvet plants is South and North America. Their range extends from the southern U.S. states (Arizona and New Mexico) to the plains of Argentina. Velvet flowers were brought to the Old World as early as the 16th century. The flowers are well established in Europe and Asia. Velvet plants are well tolerant of temperature changes typical of the midlands. Infusion
